WHAT DO I DO IF I NEED TO CANCEL A CLASS?

Call Sheri at 206-963-2585 or Email training@vitalsignscpr.com . Please give 48 hours notice. Refunds will be given with 48-hour notice.

 

*Cancellations, Refunds, Terms:

Any cancellations received at least 48 hours prior to the class start time will receive a full refund less $7.00 service fee per registration. Requests received after that deadline but at least 24 hours before the start of the class will not be eligible for a refund but may transfer. Only two date transfers per registration allowed. Requests received after the stated deadlines will not be eligible for a refund or transfer (including no call no shows) Students arriving more than 10 minutes late to class will not receive a certification card or be eligible for refund or transfer. Proficiency in English is required to participate in, and receive a certification card for the class. The presence of a translator does not waive this requirement. Translators are not permitted in class.

WHAT DO I DO IF I LOSE MY CPR CARD?

All AHA card are electronic now. You can click the link on our homepage that says “look up my aha e card” to find your card.

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE CLASS?

On our web site we offer convenient Pay Pal.  You do not need a pay pal account to use pay pal you may pay with a credit card as well. It is just a secure way to pay. WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY CPR CARD?

You will receive your AHA card electronically at the end of the class

WHO CONDUCTS THE COURSES?

Most courses are conducted by Sheri Elhoss (Ushler) She is very enthusiastic about what she does. You can look forward to an interesting, educational, and fun experience

DO YOUR COURSES MEET THE STATE REQUIREMENTS?

Yes. The courses meet OSHA WISHA standards. If you are a electrician in Washington state you must inform us so we can give you continueing education credits with L&I.

DOES VITAL SIGNS CPR OFFER CLASSES FOR INDIVIDUALS?

Yes, we offer the Heartsaver CPR/First Aid as well as Healthcare Provider CPR classes every week.

MAY I GET A REFRESHER COURSE BEFORE MY CARD EXPIRES?

All participants that have certified with me in the past two years can come to my location anytime and sit in on a scheduled class. This refresher course it to refresh your skills and knowledge only, you will not receive a completion card. In order to re certify you need to sign up for a course

WHAT ARE THE STEPS FOR THE E- LEARNING COURSE?
  1. Register and complete the e-learning course with the American Heart Association, print your certificate of completion and bring it to class.
  2. Attend a skills practice and testing session
  3. Receive your AHA course completion card.
HOW LONG ARE THE TRADITIONAL COURSES?

Courses vary depending on initial course, renewals, type of course, and number of participants. Approximate times are listed on the training page by each course taught. We have small classes, efficient and less classroom time

WHICH COURSE DO I NEED TO TAKE?

Typically BLS is for certified or non certified licensed or non licensed Healthcare Providers, such as: nursing students, dental field, medical field etc. and the heart saver courses are for education, childcare, construction, fortune 1500 companies, Health and Fitness, Safety and Security, and Hospitality.

WILL THERE BE A TEST?

Yes, with the new guidelines there is a written and skills test for heartsaver and healthcare provider courses.

HOW LONG WILL I BE CERTIFIED FOR?

A valid 2 year AHA completion card.

HOW LONG DOES THE E-LEARNING COURSE TAKE?

Depending on the e-learning course you choose it can take anywhere from 1.5 – 4 hours online and 20-40 minutes for the skills check. You can schedule the skills check at your site during your lunch hour and not have to stop production. You can schedule the skills check at our site if that is more convenient.

WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER TAKEN CPR BEFORE?

That’s fine. No prior knowledge is required to take any of the classes CPR/AED or First Aid classes. Decide which level of certification will best suit your needs and we’ll help you learn what you need to know.

IS CPR DIFFICULT TO LEARN?

CPR classes consist of knowledge and skills, both of which can be learned by almost any able-bodied person, adult or teenager. It is important, however, to pay close attention to the specifics of all instructions in the class.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

The courses involve hands-on practice sessions so please, wear something comfortable that you can move around in. If you have long hair it’s best to wear it back.
